36-year-old Christopher Sharp, of Middlesbrough Road in South Bank, was today sentenced after being involved in disorder in Middlesbrough.
On Sunday 4th August, Sharp was within a crowd of others at the junction of Ayresome Street and Linthorpe Road when he helped push a large bin into a crowd of people, which was then set alight and then pushed into a line of police officers.
Sharp tries to urge others to move towards police, and shouts “push forward” a number of times to encourage others onto the police line.
He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison for violent disorder.
