Three people have each been sentenced to 18 years in prison for their parts in an incident which left a man with life-changing injuries in Stockton.
In the early hours of April 7th 2024, a man, then aged 20, fell from a window in Parkfield Way, Stockton, after being chased by intruders who broke into his three-storey home. He was left paralysed after suffering serious brain and spinal injuries and now requires round-the-clock care.
Samantha Jade Nunn aged 33, Andrew Hobson aged 45 and Kallum Shilham aged 25 were found guilty by a jury of grievous bodily harm with intent.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Liam Coates, from Stockon CID, said: “A young man has been left in need of life-long care after the actions of Nunn, Hobson and Shilham left him paralysed.
“I am pleased with the sentences handed to the defendants today. Their actions that night had devastating consequences and now they will have to spend a lengthy time in jail.”
