Police have arrested two males after they recovered suspected drugs and weapons in Middlesbrough.
Around 2pm on Thursday 7th November, officers from Middlesbrough Proactive Team carrying out patrols on Cargo Fleet Lane witnessed suspicious activity and stopped to search a boy on a pedal bike. Suspected cannabis and an amount of cash were found.
Whilst officers carried out enquiries around the incident, a 45-year-old man was also searched and was found with suspected class A drugs. He was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of class A drugs.
A subsequent search of a property resulted in the recovery of an off-road bike, air weapons, crossbows and knives.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of an off-road bike, possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of criminal property.
Both males have been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
