Middlesbrough Proactive Team seized two vehicles and reported a driver for summons as they continued patrols in the town on Sunday.
One vehicle was seized in Saltersgill after it had made off from officers in Grove Hill. It was seen being driven dangerously around the neighbourhood before making off from police. Shortly afterwards officers located the car on Sandford Close and they arranged recovery. Enquiries are ongoing.
The team seized another vehicle after becoming suspicious of it; the driver was stopped and reported for summons after being found to have no driving licence or insurance.
If vehicles are found to be dangerous or illegal, we will continue to remove them from our roads.
