We are appealing for information or dashcam footage of a traffic incident in Saltburn at the weekend.
An officer was flagged down on Saturday by a woman reporting she had been driving along Windsor Road when a black 4x4 vehicle came up behind her vehicle and went to overtake her but collided with the rear of her vehicle, causing cosmetic damage.
She reported that the vehicle then drove off towards Redcar but it is unknown if the 4x4 driver turned off at the large roundabout or carried on towards Redcar.
Although the woman was unable to give the precise location of the incident, we believe it happened somewhere between the town’s train station, the police station and the Spar shop.
If anyone was in the Windsor Road area between 8.30pm and 8.41pm and saw or captured the incident on their dashcam they’re asked to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 200827.
If you have information but don’t want to speak to police, you can pass it to independent charity Crimestoppers at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or phone them on 0800 555 111.
