Proactive Team officers in Middlesbrough arrested two people and recovered suspected class A drugs after a report of suspicious activity from an off-duty officer.
On Monday evening, 14th October, suspicious activity was reported in the Parliament Road area and Proactive Team officers responded.
A 39-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were stopped and a quantity of suspected class A drugs were seized, along with cash, scales and phones.
Both were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The woman was additionally arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with a separate reported incident.
