Hartlepool neighbourhood officers recovered this Mitsubishi yesterday (Thursday 3rd October); it had been abandoned on waste ground near the Longhill Industrial Estate after allegedly being involved in a collision on nearby Coniston Road, then driven off from the scene.
Inspector Chris Phelan from Hartlepool NPT said: “We are having issues with criminal activity at this location but we were able to locate and remove this vehicle from circulation so it will no longer be able to be used for antisocial or criminal purposes.
“We will continue to take action on illegal/antisocial vehicles and welcome information on who is using them and where they’re being kept.
“You can pass information to Cleveland Police on the 101 number or by reporting via our website.”
If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously to www.crimestoppers-uk.org or phone them on 0800 555 111.
