Officers from Redcar NPT seized this car earlier this week after it was issued with a Section 59 notice.
These notices are given to drivers of vehicles being used in a manner which causes alarm, distress or annoyance.
The vehicle owner has now had the vehicle seized for the second time due to being issued three such notices in less than 12 months.
The car’s also being checked over by a vehicle examiner as modifications (which have led to an extremely loud exhaust!) have not been disclosed to the insurance company; this could lead to consequences for the policy holder.
We will continue to take action against the use of antisocial or illegal vehicles on our roads.
