Two teenagers were arrested after a suspected stolen vehicle was located in the Middlesbrough area.
Proactive Team officers spotted two teenagers in a BMW with the engine running in the Hubbard Walk area around 4pm on Wednesday 23rd October.
The vehicle had been reported stolen.
Upon searching the BMW, police located a large knife, an imitation firearm and hundreds of pounds in cash.
Two boys aged 16 were arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of criminal property and were bailed whilst enquiries continue.
The vehicle has now been recovered by police.
