Acting Superintendent Pete Littlewood attended a special Hartlepool event over the weekend to celebrate community cohesion and support.
The ‘Love Hartlepool’ event took place at the Nazir Mosque on Brougham Terrace on the afternoon of Saturday 14th September, and was organised by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to celebrate how the people of the town came together following the recent violent disorder in the town.
Superintendent Littlewood delivered a speech on the police response to the events that unfolded on 31st July, before accepting a donation of £1000 from the community, which will be donated to the Chief Constable’s chosen charity, the Teesside Family Foundation.
