Police were called to a report of a man stabbed on Ruskin Avenue, Middlesbrough, around 2:30am this morning, Thursday 19th September.
The 37-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.
Two men aged 27 and 29 have been arrested in connection with the incident and they remain in police custody at this time.
Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, anyone who may have seen or heard anything or anyone with dashcam footage, to contact Middlesbrough CID on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 180551.
