Officers are appealing for information following a racially aggravated attempted robbery at Ropner Park in Stockton.
A mother and her young child were at the park at around 5.30pm on Monday 16th September when they were approached by three young males, one on an electric scooter.
The rider of the electric scooter reportedly rode his scooter at speed towards the mother and her small child in an attempt to intimidate her.
The group continued to be aggressive before the rider demanded that the woman hand over her money but thankfully, a good Samaritan intervened.
Officers are appealing for the mother, the Good Samaritan or anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Cleveland Police.
Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting reference number 179941 so we can continue to investigate the incident.
