Two electric motorbikes have been seized in Middlesbrough after they were spotted by Proactive Team officers on patrol.
On Friday evening, 6th September, officers spotted a motorbike on Forber Road, with two male riders – neither of them wearing helmets.
One rider was detained a short distance away.
A 17-year-old boy was reported for summons for driving with no licence or insurance and the bike was seized.
On Saturday 7th September, officers spotted another bike on Chippenham Road, being ridden illegally.
Officers seized the bike after locating it at an address.
The bike was not road legal and will now be disposed of by police.
Anyone with information regarding illegal bikes, where they may be being stored and those riding them, can contact Cleveland Police on 101.
