Police are appealing for information after a robbery in Coulby Newham, Middlesbrough.
The incident happened around 7:15pm on Sunday 22nd September when the victim, a man aged in his forties, was robbed of a back pack at the bus lane on Dalby Way.
The suspect and victim alighted the same bus, the number 12 Stagecoach, before the suspect pushed the man to the floor and was verbally abusive before forcibly stealing his backpack – a blue Fred Perry bag with white stitching around the edges and pockets.
The suspect is described as a white male, around 6ft tall, of proportionate build, wearing a light-coloured shell tracksuit.
He then made off towards the Parkway Day Nursery on Cropton Way.
Any witnesses to the incident or anyone with dash cam footage or further information is asked to contact Middlesbrough CID on 101, quoting reference number 183188.
