A pedestrian was stood at the side of his car, parked half on the kerb of the High Street, when a white Volkswagen Polo travelling from east to west collided with him.
The 36-year-old man was taken to James Cook University Hospital by paramedics with injuries to his head and foot. A woman driving the car isn’t believed to have sustained any injuries.
It occurred at approximately 6.10pm on Wednesday 11 September.
Officers investigating the collision are appealing for witnesses and footage.
PC Steven Lake, of Cleveland Police’s roads policing unit, said: “While our enquiries are ongoing, I want to take this opportunity to encourage members of the public who may have been in the area at the time the collision occurred, to get in touch.
“Perhaps you saw the collision take place or have dash cam, doorbell or CCTV footage that could assist the investigation.
“If you can help please contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference number 175468.”
