The 33-year-old, from Stockton, was stopped by officers at around 12.25pm on Saturday 21 September on The Black Path in Stockton.
After being arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, he was transported to custody for questioning.
He was then subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday 23 September.
Following his appearance, he pleaded guilty to the offence and was bailed until he appears at Teesside Crown Court for sentencing on Wednesday 23 October.
The charge relates to a man being stopped by officers on The Black Path in Stockton and following a search a quantity of class A drugs were located.
