The males, aged 17 and 20, were arrested on Tuesday 3 September following a report of an attempted robbery of a motorbike in the town centre.
After they were both questioned in police custody and subsequently charged with attempted robbery and being carried in/drive a motor vehicle which had been taken without the owner's consent.
Both were remanded to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Thursday 5 September.
The charge relates to a report of people on a motorbike acting suspiciously in the central area of Stockton on the afternoon of Tuesday 3 September. Officers responded by attending to Northcote Street and located two males suspected of attempting to steal a motorcycle from its owner.
