Two women have been charged after a warrant was carried out in the Hemlington area on Monday 30th September.
Neighbourhood Team officers attended Edgeworth Court and carried out the warrant, where a quantity of suspected class A drugs were recovered.Two women aged 51 and 57 were arrested and later charged with possession of class A drugs.
Both women are due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court later this month.
Officers are keen to encourage any members of the public with information regarding drugs activity and crime in their local neighbourhood to report it.
Inspector Chris Hartshorne said: “It is important that members of our communities who may be experiencing crime or antisocial behaviour in their local area come forward with information which we can gather and act upon.
“Criminal activity won’t be tolerated in our neighbourhoods and I would urge anyone who may have information to contact us on 101.”
