A 38-year-old East Cleveland man was to appear at court on Saturday (26th April) after an investigation by Redcar CID saw him charged with false imprisonment, assault, threats to kill, non-fatal strangulation and assaulting an emergency worker.
He was further charged for failing to provide a specimen and in connection with six alleged thefts in the North Yorkshire area.
The first four charges relate to a 33-year-old female alleged victim who contacted police about a reported incident on the evening of 23rd April.
