This vehicle has been seized and the driver reported for having no tax or insurance.
Matrix officers had stopped the vehicle at McDonalds on Middlesbrough Leisure Park on Friday evening as police systems showed there was no insurance policy on the vehicle.
Further checks at the scene revealed there was no tax on the car – and no recorded keeper!
The driver, in his thirties, claimed he was covered by a trade insurance policy but the certificate he presented did not cover his use at the time.
We will continue to take action against vehicles being used illegally on our roads.
