Following a number of reported burglaries and garage breaks overnight in the Middlesbrough area, particularly the Grovehill area, officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information.
One property in particular was targeted three times in one evening. A large quantity of power tools and a bike were stolen from a property on Emerson Avenue between the hours of 7pm on Thursday 20th February and 2am this morning, Friday 21st February.
There is an image of a bike similar to the stolen bike, which is described as a Cannondale maroon/beige gravel bike, below:
Officers would ask nearby residents to check their CCTV for anyone acting suspiciously in the area and check their outbuildings and gardens for any items which may potentially be missing.
The public are asked to remain vigilant whilst enquiries continue into these reports. Information around home security and garage security can be found on the Cleveland Police website: www.cleveland.police.uk
Anyone with CCTV or further information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 030656 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.
