Two men arrested in Stockton last year have been sentenced to almost nine years between them.
Calvin Eastwood, 29, and Cole Harding, 20, were stopped by officers Stockton High Street on 20th October last year. When officers searched the pair, Harding was found to be concealing wraps of crack cocaine with a street value of £90 in his mouth.
Both were arrested and cash and mobile phones were seized from the pair, along with the crack cocaine. Harding was later charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession of criminal property. Harding was charged with being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.
Both appeared at Teesside Crown Court for sentencing on Wednesday 12th February. Cole Harding was sentenced to five years and one month in prison, and Calvin Eastwood was sentenced to three years and seven months.
Sergeant Lee Swainston of Stockton Neighbourhoods said: “I’m pleased that both Harding and Eastwood have been handed substantial sentences.
“Drug dealing is a blight on our communities; it increases crime, makes people feel unsafe and preys on the vulnerable. We won’t tolerate it and will continue in our fight against it, arresting those responsible and putting them before the courts.”
