The order is in the Newtown area of Stockton area on Wednesday 5 February into the early hours of Thursday 6 February.
This is to help prevent any anti-social behaviour and serious violence by carrying out searches of people who may be in possession of a weapon.
The order means that officers are given powers to stop and search people in the area who are suspected of carrying out criminal activity.
Chief Inspector Andy Evans, from Stockton’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “Our priority is to prevent serious violence from occurring and to protect residents and the local community.
“This order helps to remove individuals who are intent on causing crime and disorder, giving us the powers to be able to respond quickly and ensure that anyone seen causing issues is swiftly arrested and removed from the area.”
Officers will be carrying out patrols in the area to provide reassurance to the local community.
The dispersal order covers the boundary areas in the blue circle of the map including Laurel Road, Hazel Road, Hawthorne Road, Myrtle Road, Appleton Road, Alder Road, Dundas Street, part of the A177 and A1305 until 1am on Thursday 6 February.
These areas are outlined on the map below.
