Police are reminding the public about vehicle crime prevention after a number of reports of thefts from motor vehicles in Middlesbrough, particularly targeting tools left in vans.
Officers would like to remind the owners of all vehicles to remove any valuable items from view and to ensure that vehicles are secure.
Tools can be marked with paint pens or other property marking systems, so that they become less desirable and more difficult to sell on. Please also take photographs of items of value and note any serial numbers.
Officers continue to carry out enquiries and conduct high visibility patrols.
