A Section 60 order has been put in place in Tilery, Stockton, to help prevent violence and criminality.
The 24-hour order gives officers enhanced powers to stop and search individuals. It is currently in place until 6.30pm on Friday 28th February and will cover the area highlighted on the map.
Acting Inspector Chris Williams said: “Our officers will be highly visible in the area to provide reassurance in the community and to deter anyone from committing violence or crime.
“We will continue to use all our powers to ensure public safety. Please report any incidents to us by calling 101 or you can report non-emergencies through our website.”
