The 35-year-old, from Middlesbrough, was wanted by police and information led to his whereabouts in wooded area near Billingham Beck woods.
It comes after officers worked with the force’s drone pilot to detect a heat source, leading to the man being located inside a tent and subsequently arrested.
After being transported to police custody for questioning, he was charged with stalking and appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Monday 10 February.
The charge relates to reports of a man stalking a woman in Billingham and breach of bail conditions.
