Officers from Eston and Redcar’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) seized a suspected stolen quad bike following proactive patrols in Eston.
On Saturday 1st February, officers were patrolling in the Bankfields area when they spotted a man behaving suspiciously near a van.
The man made off from police and officers located a red Honda quad bike hidden in bushes nearby.
Further enquiries established that the quad bike was reported stolen from the Hambleton District of North Yorkshire in December last year.
Both the van and the quad bike were seized and enquiries are ongoing to trace those responsible.
