Two teenagers were arrested by Matrix officers after a vehicle reportedly failed to stop for police in Thornaby on Thursday 20th February.
Around 3:25pm, the silver Lexus failed to stop near Thornaby Industrial Estate and sped off towards Trenchard Avenue and the town centre.
The vehicle was driven at speed through Thornaby and eventually into Stockton, being pursued closely by Matrix officers, before two males made off on foot.
Officers conducted a search of the area with assistance from the National Police Air Service.
Police dog Moose tracked across fields and through mud to locate the driver, before NPAS helped direct units towards a second male.
A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop, drug driving and possession of a class B drug. He has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
A 16-year-old boy has been charged with possession of a class B drug. He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court in March.
The vehicle was recovered by police.
