Third Arrest Made after Redcar Incident

A third arrest has been made in connection with an incident in Redcar which took place on Saturday night (15^th February 2025).

The incident happened in Peggy Junes Bar on Queen Street just after 8pm on Saturday, when a violent altercation took place in the bar, resulting in three people being taken to hospital with serious, but not believed to be life-threatening, injuries.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and he remains in police custody at this time.

A 33-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman arrested in connection with the incident also remain in police custody.
