A wanted man was arrested by Matrix officers after a vehicle made off into the Grove Hill area of Middlesbrough in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 7th January).
Officers spotted the man driving a Ford Fiesta around 1:15am, when the vehicle failed to stop on Linthorpe Road.
Matrix officers pursued the vehicle, where the man was arrested on Valley Road after the vehicle was stopped by officers using a stinger.
Officers searching the Fiesta found suspected crack cocaine, a number of mobile phones and a large amount of cash.
A 28-year-old man from Middlesbrough was arrested on a warrant and on suspicion of a number of driving offences.
The man remains in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
