A 42-year-old man is due to appear at court today charged with theft from motor vehicle.
Police received a report that an Audi A3 had been broken into on Cornwall Street, Hartlepool on New Year’s Eve, with a man allegedly making off with personal items from inside the vehicle.
Enquiries continued and on 3rd January, officers on mobile patrols arrested the man on Rugby Street and he was interviewed then charged and remanded by detectives from Hartlepool CID.
