Man charged with New Year’s Eve theft from car in Hartlepool.

A 42-year-old man is due to appear at court today charged with theft from motor vehicle.

Police received a report that an Audi A3 had been broken into on Cornwall Street, Hartlepool on New Year’s Eve, with a man allegedly making off with personal items from inside the vehicle.

Enquiries continued and on 3^rd January, officers on mobile patrols arrested the man on Rugby Street and he was interviewed then charged and remanded by detectives from Hartlepool CID.
