The 36-year-old, of Wynyard Road, was arrested on Tuesday 14 January and taken to custody for questioning.
She has since been charged with burglary and two counts of theft.
After being remanded in custody, the woman is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday 15 January.
The charges relate to a burglary that occurred in October 2024 at a property on Dalkeith Road in Hartlepool and a quantity of money was stolen. The thefts relate to items stolen from Morrison’s supermarket in October 2024.
