Middlesbrough Proactive Team officers reportedly witnessed suspected drug dealing from an electric bike on Monday afternoon (13th January), leading to a drugs warrant being carried out at an address on Valley Road.
The warrant was carried out with the assistance of Matrix officers, and the electric bike was seized at the property for having no insurance.
Drug paraphernalia, phones, a machete and suspected crack cocaine believed to be worth up to £5,000 was recovered at the property. A suspected stolen electric folding pedal bike was also recovered from the address, and enquiries are ongoing to reunite this with its owner.
Three people present at the property were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs; two males aged 15 and 18 and a 19-year-old female.
An 18-year-old man was later charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He is due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 14th January.
The 15-year-old and 19-year-old were bailed pending further enquiries.
