The mountain bike and Kawasaki motorbike are suspected of being stolen during two burglaries that were reported to police on Wednesday 8 January.
Following numerous enquiries, officers from Middlesbrough’s neighbourhood team located them both this morning (Thursday 9 January) in Trimdon Avenue.
Both of the bikes have since been returned to their owners.
Sergeant Joseph Mountain, from Middlesbrough’s neighbourhood policing team, said: “It is fantastic that we have been able to quickly locate both of the bikes and return them to their rightful owners.
“However, our investigation doesn’t stop there. We are now appealing to members of the public to come forward if they have information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could identify the people who stole the bikes.
If you have information relating to the green mountain bike, please quote reference number 004255 and for the blue Kawaski motorbike please mention 004291 when calling 101 or reporting through our website.”
Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
