Proactive Team officers from Middlesbrough seized two uninsured vehicles this weekend, one of which after a one-year-old child was spotted travelling on a passenger’s lap.
On Saturday, 11th January, officers spotted a man driving a Nissan Almera on Marton Road whilst on his phone and with a young child on a passenger’s lap.
The 27-year-old driver was reported for driving whilst using a mobile phone, no insurance and having a passenger failing to wear a seatbelt. The car was seized.
On Sunday 12th January, officers stopped a Seat Leon on Westminster Road which was again without insurance. The driver will be reported for the offence and his vehicle was seized.
