A 25-year-old woman was arrested and suspected drugs and pepper spray recovered after a drugs warrant was carried out in Middlesbrough, yesterday (Thursday 9th January 2025) by Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Team officers working with housing agency Thirteen.
Suspected cocaine, cannabis, cannabis edibles, an axe, baseball bat and pepper spray were seized by officers at the property on Holyrood Court in Longlands, alongside an amount of cash.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a class A drug, possession with intent to supply a class B drug, possession of a class C drug and possession of a firearm (pepper spray).
The woman was taken into custody and bailed whilst enquiries continue.
Inspector Chris Hartshorne, from Middlesbrough Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Drugs activity blights the lives of our law-abiding residents and we are listening to our communities and proactively tackling the issue.
“We would always urge those who have information regarding suspected drug activity in their area to contact Cleveland Police on 101. Anyone wishing to pass information anonymously can also contact Crimestoppers online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.”
