A police officer sustained a fractured wrist as he attended an incident in East Cleveland at the weekend.
At around 11.45pm on Sunday night (8th June) we received information that a woman had attended an address in Carlin How and made threats towards the occupants.
When officers arrived they carried out an area search, locating a 32-year-old woman who was said to be hiding behind a bin further up the street.
It’s then reported that the woman physically resisted arrest but she was soon detained and taken into custody.
She was interviewed and subsequently charged by Redcar CID with assault and with resisting arrest.
The woman was remanded in police custody until her appearance at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday 10th June.
Enquiries are ongoing.
