Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a collision on Trunk Road in Middlesbrough.
The incident happened around 6:20pm on Tuesday 4th March when a grey Honda Civic was in collision with a wheelchair user.
The vehicle stopped at the scene and the male wheelchair user was assisted by members of the public.
The man, a 48-year-old man from the Redcar area, was taken to James Cook University Hospital with a number of injuries. He remains in hospital in a ‘stable’ condition.
Officers would like to speak to any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who hasn’t already contacted police. Police would also particularly appeal for any footage of the man in the wheelchair prior to the collision.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number SE25038168.
