A 47-year-old man has been charged by Middlesbrough CID officers after a report of a male allegedly removing a cash machine from the wall of a shop on Crescent Road on Tuesday 4th March.
Officers arrested a man nearby and a man has now been charged with robbery, racially aggravated common assault, assault by beating, attempted theft and three shoplifting offences.
The man was due to appear at Teesside Magistrates Court on Wednesday 5th March.
