The men, one aged 27 from the Marton area and a 34-year-old from Grangetown, were arrested on suspicion of section 18 wounding.
They were transported to police custody where they are currently being questioned.
It follows reports of a man, aged 37, sustaining injuries to his head and arm and taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police were called to Birchington Avenue shortly after 3.30pm on Saturday 1 March. A police cordon was in police and local officers were in the area to provide reassurance.
