The 73-year-old woman was running along Hazel Grove when one of two dogs ran over and bit her on the hip leaving her with an injury that required treatment at hospital.
It took place at approximately 8.30am on Sunday 18 May near to the promenade.
Two dogs – both believed to be white Albanian rescue dogs, possibly Akitas – were off the lead and with their owners, a man, and a woman.
Officers are appealing to the owners of the dogs to get in touch, or for anyone to come forward if they may have information on who the dogs belong to.
