    CCTV Image Released Following a Purse Theft

    <P>Police are appealing for information after an 86-year-old woman had her purse stolen, possibly from inside Lidl in Thornaby Town Centre.</P> <P>The incident occurred on Friday 3rd March between 12pm-1pm when the victim checked her bag and realised her purse was missing.</P> <P>It is believed her bank card was then used by someone else and £200 was withdrawn from her bank account at a cashpoint.</P> <P>Officers would like the man seen in the CCTV footage to come forward as he may be able to assist with enquiries.<BR>The man is described as being a white male with a bald head on top with short hair round the sides.     Statement on local response following Manchester attack

    Cleveland Police Assistant Chief Constable Adrian Roberts said: “In common with several UK forces, Cleveland Police continues to provide practical support to colleagues in Manchester, with a number of officers deployed to the city.
