Police attended an address in Wooler Crescent, Billingham whilst carrying out enquiries and two men attempted to flee the premises. Both were quickly captured by officers and arrested.

Four men have been sentenced at Teesside Crown Court today (Thursday 19th June) following the murder of 26-year-old Lewis Bell in Stockton in September 2024.
A computer science student has been sentenced to 13 years and nine months at Teesside Crown Court today, after he was found guilty of 26 sexual offences against children.
Following a misconduct hearing held this week (16th-19th June), PC Ian Coverdale has been immediately dismissed from Cleveland Police. PC Coverdale was found to have breached the standards of professional behaviour for police officers; including discreditable conduct, integrity and respect and courtesy.
A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary in connection with an incident on Sunday 1st June where three German Shepherds escaped a property on Sheriff Street in Hartlepool.
