39-Year-Old Man Assaulted and Robbed in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 39-year-old man was assaulted at The Greenway near to CVL Training (believed to formerly be the Thorntree Pub).

The incident occurred on Saturday 2nd January at around 7:55pm.

The victim was cycling on his bike when he was approached by three males. He was knocked off his bike and punched and kicked to the ground before one of the suspects made off on his bike.

He suffered from swelling to his right eye but did not receive medical treatment.

The stolen bike is described as a Merida Big Nine TFS bike in matt black with white and yellow stripes on it and aluminous green pedals.
