Appeal for Taxi Driver to Come Forward after a 21-Year-Old Man was Assaulted and Robbed in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing to trace a taxi driver that assisted a 21-year-old man after he was assaulted and robbed by two males at the ...

..... junction of Borough Road and Abingdon Road in Middlesbrough.

The incident occurred on Sunday 3rd January at around 12:30pm.

It is believed that the two suspects were riding bikes when they approached the victim and one of them hit him in the face before they made off with a quantity of money.

A male taxi driver assisted the victim after the attack and police would like to speak with this man as he may be able to assist police with their enquiries.

As a result of the incident the victim was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he was treated for facial injuries and later released.

A 17-year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
