44-Year-old Woman Left with Serious Facial Injuries Following Assault in Middlesbrough

Police are appealing for information after a 44-year-old woman was assaulted and left with serious facial injuries, including part of her ear missing.

The incident occurred on Monday 11th January between 9pm and 11pm in the St Barnabas Road area of Linthorpe in Middlesbrough. The victim was approached by three people, believed to be one female, one male and an unknown third person.

The victim was approached from behind and was punched to the face. She was taken to James Cook University Hospital where she was treated for her injuries and later released.
