Appeal for potential witness to burglary to come forward (One Stop Shop, North Ormesby)

Police investigating the theft of hundreds of pounds of cigarettes during a burglary at the One Stop Shop on Kings Road, North Ormesby early this morning are appealing for a potential witness to come forward.

The shop was targeted just before 1.15am today, Monday 18th January, and CCTV shows a man pushing a bicycle and wearing a reflective top walking from the direction of the Jovial Monk pub towards the market square.

Two people are believed to have entered the shop and stolen the cigarettes however it is not yet known whether there were other accomplices waiting outside.  The suspects ran off in the direction of the market square.

Nearby residents and businesses with private CCTV are also being asked to check their systems to see if anything was captured and if so, to contact police so officers can arrange to view the footage.
