Two Men Arrested Following Incidents in Stockton

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery and a robbery in Stockton yesterday afternoon, Wednesday 3rd February.

The first incident took place at around 3pm at a cash machine in Wellington Square, opposite Lidl. A man grabbed a 61-year-old woman and she hit him with her walking stick before he made off empty handed.

The second incident took place at around 3.10pm near Stockton Railway Station on Bishopton Lane. A handbag containing bank cards was stolen from an 87-year-old woman.

Two men aged 25 and 32 have been arrested in connection with both incidents and they remain in police custody.
