60-Year-Old Woman Assaulted and Robbed in Yarm

Police are appealing for information after a 60-year-old woman was assaulted and robbed near to Sainsburys on Yarm High Street.

The incident occurred yesterday, Tuesday 23rd February at around 4:10pm when the victim was walking along Yarm High Street near to Sainburys.

Two males knocked the victim to the floor and as she lay was on the floor, a female approached her and spoke to her before walking away. All three walked away towards The Ketton Ox Pub.

As the two males and the female walked away, the victim realised her purse was missing from her handbag.

The female who spoke to the victim is described as aged in her early 20s, with a tanned complexion and of slim build. She was wearing a blue jacket with a fur hood.

The victim was not injured as a result of the incident.
