Man Left Injured Following Theft of Car, Grangetown

Police are appealing for information after officers were called to an incident in which a 25-year-old man was left with head and leg injuries following the theft...

...of a car in Grangetown.

The 25-year-old man attempted to prevent the theft of the vehicle, a red Vauxhall Corsa, by two males on Shakespeare Avenue at around 1.20am on Saturday 5th March.

As the car made off, the man suffered head injuries and a suspected fractured ankle. He remains in James Cook University Hospital in a “stable” condition.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on Ainthorpe Road in Whale Hill and had been involved in a collision with a parked vehicle on Slater Road.
